15 Interesting Facts About The Daniel Craig Bond Films

4. Casino Royale's Opening Credits Give Away Vesper€™s Deception

As Chris Cornell€™s €œYou Know My Name€ belted in the background, we were treated to an especially exciting opening credits scene in Casino Royale. From designer Daniel Kleinman, the motif for the scene was playing cards, as Bond shoots his way through a series of them before a casino backdrop, in keeping with the main plot of the film.

Amidst all of the inspired animation was hidden a fairly major plot spoiler if you knew where to look. That€™s right, the opening credits of the film subtly let us know that Vesper will betray Bond.

This is done as her face appears on a body that€™s a combination of the Queen of Hearts as well as the Queen of Spades. The hearts undeniably symbolizes her status as a love interest but the spades more interestingly paints her as bad luck.

It€™s foolish to think that anyone would have picked up on this in their first watch but coming back and seeing it in context makes this a nice little easter egg.
