15 Kids Movie Moments That Felt More Like Horror Films
6. Night On Bald Mountain - Fantasia (1941)
Among all their films, Fantasia will always stand out in Disneys repertoire for its visuals and dedication to bringing classical music to a younger audience. Featuring two hours of purely visual narrative, it is often hailed as a landmark of cinema. But the final sequence called Night On Bald Mountain takes a seriously dark turn, following the satanic super demon Chernabog, who raises the spirits of the dead and scares the hell out of any child watching. The epic music only enhances the horror of what plays out on screen, right to the final moment in which Chernabog wraps his wings around his body and blends in to the peak of Bald Mountain once again. This shadowy, foreboding sequence still ranks among the most disturbing scenes from any family film ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLCuL-K39eQ
