15 Kids Movie Moments That Felt More Like Horror Films

1. Endless Deaths - Watership Down (1978)

Watership Down can be easily misinterpreted by the uninitiated as a cutesy animation about frolicking rabbits. What actually lies in store is an emotionally shattering and traumatic tear-jerker, filled with graphic and gory depictions of cute bunnies being torn to shreds and the realistic struggles that face such animals in the wild. Based off Richard Adams seminal novel of the same name, Watership Down tells the epic story of some rabbits who go on a perilous journey to find sanctuary when one of them (who is psychic) has a premonition about the destruction of their warren. Don€™t worry: it makes sense when you watch it. There are quite a few quite sudden deaths in this film, and the rabbit-on-rabbit violence has been well documented over the years. The rabbits are shot, caged, mutilated, eaten, torn to shreds, and probably the most horrific of all, suffocated in scenes throughout the entire movie. There is one scene where a rabbit gets caught in a snare that is enough to churn the stomach of any certified horror junkie. The wire in the snare grows increasingly tighter around the poor creature€™s throat, causing blood to form at the eyes and mouth as his circulation is cut off. The disturbing and bleak imagery leaves an effect on both youngsters and adults that can never be forgotten. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPBck3xcUJc What are some of the most disturbing moments you€™ve ever seen in a kids movie?
