15 Likely Movie Sequels That Hopefully Will Never Happen

2. Underworld 6

Previous Movies: Len Wiseman's Underworld hit screens in 2003 to mostly negative reviews, but scored $95 million on a modest $22 million budget. The mega-budgeted $50 million sequel, Underworld: Evolution, raked in $111 million despite the worst reviews of the series, while the third film, Rise of the Lycans, which followed Rhona Mitra's Sonja instead of Kate Beckinsale's Selene, pulled in a respectable $91 million with a reduced $35 million budget. Beckinsale returned for the fourth film, Underworld: Awakening, which cost a high $70 million but, likely due to the run on vampire movies since the last film (thanks, Twilight), grossed the easy franchise-best of $160 million, ensuring that this vampire series was here to stay. The Sequel: While a fifth film, Underworld: Next Generation, is already in pre-production for a 2016 release with David (Theo James) from the fourth film as the protagonist, a sixth film has also already been discussed. Wiseman claims that Underworld 6 will again follow Selene, because apparently Kate Beckinsale has nothing better to do... Why It Should Never Happen: Well, the series has yet to have a movie rise above 33% on Rotten Tomatoes, and there's little reason to believe that a fifth or sixth film would be any different. Though audiences turned out to see Awakening, will they really keep shelling out for numbers five and six?
