11. Alice Through The Looking Glass
The Original: In 2010, Tim Burton signed on to direct a re-imagining of Disneyʼs animated classic, Alice In Wonderland, bringing the iconic character back to the big screen. It would mark the first of these live-action retelling of Disney classics. The movie was a big financial success, earning the studio $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Since then, studio executives have began developing a direct sequel to the reboot, titled Alice Through The Looking Glass, expected for release in 2016. The Planned Remake: Mia Wasikowska will return as Alice, alongside Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham-Carter as Red Queen. Other returning cast members include Anne Hathaway, Alan Rickman and Martin Sheen. Joining them will be Sacha Baron Cohen playing lead antagonist, Time. The script comes from Linda Woolverton with Flight Of The Conchords and The Muppets director James Bobin helming the sequel.
