Carving up the James Bond filmography into good and bad lists feels really wrong, in some ways. Bond's like pizza: even at its worst, it's still hard not to like. But just as the Bond series has produced some very tasty choices indeed, there have definitely been a few big piles of cheese in there. (Don't worry, the pizza metaphors stop here.)

Not for nothing does every Bond movie end with the words 'James Bond Will Return.' Through systematic rejuvenation and recasting, Eon Productions have successfully kept Ian Fleming's secret agent on top of the box office for more than fifty years, and - even with the recent disappointment of Spectre - this doesn't show any signs of stopping.

Still, whether or not Daniel Craig will return remains to be seen; but given he's been in the role a decade, and frankly looked bored for most of Spectre, might it be the right time for someone else to pick up the Walther PPK?
