15 Mind-Blowing Disney Movie Facts
9. The Pinocchio Incident
There's a major industry built around movie marketing for a reason - an inspired campaign can turn a successful movie into something even more lucrative, while studios can also convince audiences that bad films are in fact good. Like Suicide Squad.
For Pinocchio's original cinematic release in 1940, the Disney company hired 11 little people to dress up as Pinocchio and greet people to help promote the movie. Unfortunately, the actors were left with an entire day's supply of food and wine and gorged themselves, becoming drunk, stripping off and shouting obscenities at the crowd gathered for the film's premiere.
Quite the sight, no doubt.
