13. The Wolverine
As a massive fan of the X-Men franchise, news of this film's 2013 release has excited me no end. This is the sixth film in the superhero franchise, and will primarily focus on Logan (Wolverine) played by the brilliant Hugh Jackman, as he travels to Japan, where he engages a mysterious figure from his past in a fight that has major consequences. I think much for the better, this is the first film in the franchise that will be focusing on Wolverine specifically, and given the outstanding performances made by Hugh Jackman in previous movies it could do wonders for the film. This year really is the year of the Superhero, with films such as Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, Thor: The Dark World, all also being released, and after for me, the slightly disappointing X-Men: First Class (2009). This film is not considered to be the front runner in the superhero stakes, however I would pledge my stakes that The Wolverine will right up there with the best of them come the end of the year.
