You can always count on Rob Zombie to ruffle a few feathers, and the filmmaker claims 31 is his most brutal picture yet, which coming from the director of House Of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects means you should expect torture, sadism and evil clowns. Several Zombie regulars (Malcolm McDowell, Daniel Roebuck, Sheri Moon Zombie) are joined by Meg Foster and Judy Geeson for a story about a group of hostages being forced to participate in a violent game called 31 where their opponents are wouldnt you know it a gang of evil clowns (sadly, Sid Haig was unable to participate due to illness). Its the directors first crowdfunded film, meaning he has more independence than on either House Of 1000 Corpses or his Halloween movies, so expect to see Zombie at his unhinged, unchained best. Well find out when the movie premieres at Sundance 2016.
