6. Lex Luthor (DC Cinematic Universe)
It's not as though Lex Luthor hasn't appeared on the big screen before - both Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey have portrayed the character in previous Superman movies - but now that he has been alluded to in the current franchise (in the form of LexCorp logos in the background of major scenes), it is highly expected and anticipated that he will appear in the Batman/Superman crossover movie that was recently announced. Lex is, quite simply, one of the most famous and formidable villains in comic book history - a megavillain, so to speak. He has masterminded some of the most intricate and devastating plots in DC Comics history and no Superman film franchise would be the same without him. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has been linked with the role but has recently flat-out denied that he will be portraying the bald bad guy. Regardless of who takes on the role, we can't wait to see him taking on the man of steel on the big screen again.
