15 Most Bad-Ass Teams In Movie History
10. The Avengers
While Marvel's roster of superheroes have all proven capable of handling themselves individually, when an alien invasion led by a vengeful god of mischief or an army of robots led by deranged artificial intelligence threaten humanity's very existence, The Avengers definitively prove the superiority of strength in numbers.
Uniting a cocky billionaire in flying armor, a 95 year-old super-soldier, the Asgardian god of thunder, a mild-mannered scientist with serious anger issues and two highly-trained SHIELD operatives to battle a common enemy was always going to be a risky proposition, but Earth's Mightiest Heroes have proven themselves more than up to the task, accumulating almost $3bn at the box office in the process.
Although the team has endured bickering, squabbling and even a couple of full-blown fistfights, the Avengers have always been united when it matters most, coincidentally in time for two spectacular third-act action sequences that close out both movies. After the events of Age of Ultron the roster has been slightly tweaked, but the additions of Scarlet Witch, War Machine, Falcon, Vision and possibly even Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy ensure that the Avengers will have plenty of strength in depth when the time comes to fight the Infinity War.
