The Moment: Ludlow (Josh Gad) first encounters his favourite video game character, Lady Lisa (Ashley Benson), when she beams down as an alien and begins to attack him. After he professes his love, however, they make out, though when the aliens are defeated, she's beamed back up with them. Realising Ludlow's anguish, trophy Q*Bert decides to transform himself into Lisa...and the pair get married...and have little Q*Bert-esque kids. Why It's Controversial: Even ignoring the hackjob done on Q*Bert, the message here is that the woman becomes the almost literal trophy at the end, rather than having any agency of her own to make her own decisions. We never see Lisa have her own mindset outside of being either an alien-led automaton or bending to Ludlow's will, so what sort of message is that sending?
