15 Most Critically Adored Stephen King Adaptations

5. Storm Of The Century (1999)

Pennywise It
ABC

Rating: 75%

Though not strictly an adaptation (King wrote it specifically as a screenplay), Storm Of The Century was a published work (in screenplay form), and qualifies by virtue of the great man penning it himself.

This is actually one of the rare occasions where any Stephen King film/show actually written by him didn't tank, which scored an unlikely success for stuntman turned director Craig Baxley, thanks to Colm Feore's creepy performance.
