In all honesty, the ABC mini-series is probably most memorable for the central, demonic performance by Tim Curry as Pennywise the clown, rather than for the success of the show itself.
That's something of a shame though, as it's genuinely creepy (and yes it does rely significantly on Curry, but why should that be a problem?) and offers real thrills.
