Belgian drama Girl has been around since last year and has actually already been released in some territories as well as being shown at last year's Cannes. It's been with Netflix since around the same time but they've sat on it somewhat and have just pushed the release back from January until "probably" the Spring in their own words.

It's an important movie as it follows Lara, a 15-year-old transgender girl who aspires to be a professional ballerina and joins a dance academy as she undergoes hormone treatment to prepare for gender reassignment. She's harrased by classmates and struggles with other very real trans identity issues and it's great to see Netflix wading into these waters.

It was met with lots of criticism from gender and sexuality activism groups, but critically, it remains acclaimed and it's certainly a story that needs to be watched either way.
