15 Most Hated Comic Book Movie Characters Ever

5. Juggernaut – X-Men: The Last Stand

As one of the most hated films in the X-Men franchise (apart from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, perhaps), there’s plenty of not so complimentary things we could say about Brett Ratner’s X-Men: The Last Stand. But perhaps the movie’s biggest let-down was its mishandling of one of the mutant heroes’ most formidable adversaries, Juggernaut.

Completely disregarding the complex history comic book Juggernaut had as the stepbrother of Professor X, Ratner and Co – for reasons known only to themselves – instead thought it better to base the film version of Juggernaut on an internet meme made popular in the mid-nineties that featured a group of young reprobates amusingly redubbing the 1990s X-Men animated series with the line ‘I’m the Juggernaut, bitch!’.

Even more confusingly, they cast Vinnie Jones – typically the token meathead in his movies – as Juggernaut. Not exactly known for his exceptional acting abilities and seemingly incapable of an American accent, Jones delivers the cringeworthy line ‘I’m the Juggernaut, bitch!’ in his usual Cockney accent and an equally cringeworthy performance all round.
