15 Most Hated Comic Book Movie Characters Ever

A hot contender for the not so coveted title of Worst Comic Book Movie of 2016, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what the most disappointing aspect of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was but one aspect that definitely fell flat was Jesse Eisenberg’s performance as Superman’s number one archenemy Lex Luthor.

Criticized by fans even before filming began for being too young looking and not physically imposing enough to tackle the role, fears were confirmed when Eisenberg’s take on Luthor was more twitchy and annoying rich brat than evil genius and worthy adversary of the Man of Steel.

Perhaps Eisenberg was still a tad hungover from playing another unlikeable rich man in The Social Network but whatever his excuse, the Worst Supporting Actor Razzie he was awarded for his efforts (or lack thereof) was fully deserved.

Unfortunately, he’ll be reprising the role later this year in Justice League too. Maybe he’ll do Lex Luthor justice this time, but we’re not holding our breath.
