15 Most Heart-Wrenching Moments In MCU History
11. Brandy (You're A Fine Girl) - Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
Some people have a problem with what Peter did in Infinity War. Thanos was almost defeated, but he just had to sucker punch the big purple goon.
But it's that big heart, and that small brain, that has defined Quill forever. Just think of his relationship with Ego. His father. Who was a planet. Y'all remember that? Where his dad's a planet?
Anyway, after the two bond over good music, magical powers, and being somewhat handsome, very snarky men, Peter finds out that Ego's plan to destroy the world was bigger than anything else. Bigger even than love.
And that moment, as Peter Quill ran from his mother's outstretched arms, that her death, alone, without her child, was entirely Ego's fault, Peter burst out - blowing Ego away without a second's hesitation or thought for the fact that he was shooting at a planet.
Quill has always been driven by emotion. And who wouldn't unload on the man who admitted to killing their mom, so he could - in essence - go party elsewhere?
