15 Most Hilariously Inaccurate Movie Titles

4. John Dies At The End

What Everyone Expected: Whatever else happened in the film, it seemed destined by the movie's title alone that John Cheese (Rob Mayes) was going to die at the end. Talk about a spoiler... What Actually Happened: John survives the entire course of the movie, and it seems that the reason for this was either a) a joke about the utility of titles to dictate meaning or b) author David Wong, who wrote the original book in episodes, simply changed his mind while writing the remainder of it. It's worth noting that in the book, protagonist David is actually the one who dies rather than John, and it's possible that c) Wong picked the title simply to screw with people. What It Should Have Been Called: David Dies At the End would have been more accurate, but there's an enigmatic playfulness to the ultimate title which makes it worth preserving.
