2015 has been one hell of a year for movies for sure, but 2016 is looking to follow its lead, serving up a number of fanboy-friendly outings audiences have been frothing at the mouth to see from the moment they were first announced. The Internet hype machine is rolling on these 15 movies in particular, either by way of an awesome trailer set of trailers (which in some instances have arguably given away too much), sneaky set photos that got directors angry, convincing rumours that are too awesome not to believe, or information gleaned from a loose-lipped cast. As such, moviegoers the world over can't wait to feast their eyes upon these potentially incredible scenes coming their way. From fanboy wish fulfillment to secret cameos and so much more, these moments will likely be some of 2016's most memorable, regardless of how good or bad the rest of each film is.
14. Chris Hemsworth Suits Up - Ghostbusters
The Scene: Kevin (Chris Hemsworth) serves as the new Ghostbusters' plucky receptionist... and for some reason ends up riding a super-powered bicycle in what appears to be full Ghostbuster regalia. Why is he suiting up? How effective will he against the ghosts? So many questions! Why You Should Be Looking Forward To It: Because as easy as it is to be cynical about this all-female Ghostbusters reboot, the casting of Hemsworth is one of the major indications that writer-director Paul Feig knows what he's doing. To cast Hemsworth, typically known for his hunky, brutish roles, as a comic relief nerd, is a hilarious subversion of the Annie Potts receptionist character from the original series (and Potts will herself be cameoing in the movie), with the added bonus that it looks like he's going to kick some a** later on in the movie. If the film really hammers home the atypical nerdiness of Hemsworth's role, then it'll be all the more satisfying if he, perhaps clumsily, helps save the day at the end after suiting up in outrageously over-the-top fashion.
