14. Ra's Al Ghul

The man who trained Batman, Liam Neeson's Ra's Al Ghul is simultaneously charismatic, intimidating, and enigmatic. As the leader of The League of Shadows, Ra's Al Ghul is more complicated than most other super-villains. For one, he actually believes in keeping order and justice but the way he goes about it is destroying entire cities that he believe to be corrupt beyond repair. Ra's Al Ghul plays a central role in the development of Bruce Wayne. In addition to simply provide him with elite fighting skills. He saves Wayne from a life of petty crime, gives him a purpose in life, and provides the inspiration for Batman. While Ra's Al Ghul's ultimate plan for Gotham is a little cheesy, Liam Neeson's portrayal gives him a sense of sophistication, authority, and danger that make him a particularly memorable villain.
