13. Nightcrawler
Sadly only featured in one X-Men movie so far, Nightcrawler nearly ran away with the movie despite being part of one of the most impressive ensemble casts in superhero movie history. Nightcrawler is one of the most upbeat members of the X-Men, despite his appearance, and provides much of the comic relief in X2. Even though he has as many problems as the other mutants, Nightcrawler is generally in a good mood, a quality that has made him a fan favorite, and is one of the few superheroes to show any signs of religious beliefs. Nightcrawler was ranked #4 on Marvels list of greatest X-Men and ranked 7th on a similar list by IGN. His unique appearance, likability, religion, charisma, and abilities give him an interesting dynamic and make him one of the best X-men characters and one of the best superhero characters in general. Hopefully, we'll see him brought in as a late addition to Singer's Days Of Future Past.
