15 Most Mindlessly Entertaining Action Movies Ever

5. Tango & Cash

Required Action Hero Line: "Lucky for me this place is soundproof. That way nobody gets to hear me beating the truth out of you."

As the greatest decade of action-hero movies was coming to an end, two of it's biggest stars tag-teamed for 1989's Tango & Cash. Sylvester Stallone took on the straight laced and uptight police officer Ray Tango. And Kurt Russell co-starred as the rebellious, unkempt Gabriel Cash (think Riggs from Lethal Weapon, with the crazy toned down).

The LAPD's top cops get framed and sent to prison. Watching our heroes get captured, escape, and get justice is one of the 80's most exciting and entertaining offerings. It has everything you need with the two charismatic leads at the peak of their powers and a solid, witty script with plenty of action.
