Place this one in the movie premises that absolutely shouldn't work but are totally fun anyway category. In a battle between an FBI agent and a dangerous crime boss, the stakes are raised in ways we'd never seen before.

John Travolta and Nicolas Cage bring the crazy over-acting, each seemingly trying to one-up the other in every scene. Once the roles are reversed, they each do a surprisingly great job of re-enacting the other character's mannerisms.

The third Hollywood film from master action director John Woo, Face/Off is totally fun and preposterous.
