8. Harvesters (Independence Day)
There are many reasons that Independence Day is considered one of the all-time greatest alien-centric offerings and one of them is undoubtedly the alien Harvesters responsible for all that destruction.
Arriving in large, almost flat spaceships - that bare a striking resemblance to the ones seen over a decade earlier in V - the Harvesters are a highly intelligent race of alien with large heads, slimy skin and dark reflective eyes, and they also wear bio-mechanical armor that enhances their strength and boasts a horrifying number of extra tentacles.
With a desire to harvest and destroy planets for their own gain and the unnerving telepathic ability to make it happen, the Harvesters are undoubtedly one of the most formidable creatures to ever (dis)grace the big screen.
