15 Movie Moments That Pissed Off Fans Most In 2017

By far the most controversial scene from Stephen King's novel It is the "orgy" scene, in which the Losers get lost in Derry's sewer system after defeating Pennywise, as they begin losing their magical connection to one another.

In order to restore it, the boys all have sex with Beverly one after another, losing their virginity as explained in graphic detail by King, who most fans speculate was at the height of his cocaine-huffing period while writing the novel.

In Andy Muschietti's movie, however, the scene is left out entirely, to the disappointment of some fans who hoped that the permissive R-rating would allow the film to fully realise the mania of King's vision.

Ultimately there's a line that Hollywood has to draw, and while casual audiences might be able to stomach a kid having his arm ripped off, six boys running a train on a young girl wouldn't be worth the PR trouble, not to mention the commercial obstacles it would present.

The film isn't any worse for excluding the scene, which to a modern audience is "problematic" at best, but that hasn't stopped King purists damning its lack of inclusion.
