Yes, in one of the most ludicrously calculated attempts to bring in otherwise-unwilling audiences, this trailer for Burton's musical features just 20 seconds of singing, with no formal reference made to the film actually being a full-on musical.

Considering that the sequence of Depp singing could've easily been a one-off or a surreal dream sequence (it being Burton after all), one can only imagine the look on some poor saps' faces when they realised in the cinema that the film was going to be littered with ditties. Atrocious.
