The sheer weirdness of Holy Motors is enough to secure its place in cinematic history as one of the most unique creations of all time. Odd-looking actor Denis Levant stars as Mr. Oscar, a very unusual man who spends his day traveling around Paris in a limousine in which he changes into different costumes before venturing out into the city to play the role of an assortment of characters. He dons a motion capture suit and enters into a performance with a woman on a soundstage; in the guise of a tramp he kidnaps a model (played by Eva Mendes) and takes her to an isolated cave. More roles follow, each challenging the viewer to unpick the seemingly inexplicable narrative and prominent symbolism.
