15 Movies That Made 2016 The Dumbest Year Ever

13. Fifty Shades Of Black

Batman V Superman MARTHA
Open Road Films

Marlon Wayans continues to waste the talent he made us believe he had in Requiem for a Dream all those years ago with yet another low-effort spoof cash-grab, this time aiming at the incredibly low-hanging fruit that is Fifty Shades of Grey.

Wayans gives it his all in terms of performance, but the script is almost completely bereft of wit and it aims for the cheapest, lamest, crudest gag every time.

Wayans' usual deference towards racial humour also feels incredibly played-out, and the film manages the almost impressive achievement of actually being dumber and more insufferable than Fifty Shades of Grey itself.

As the film did fairly well at the box office, don't be surprised if Wayans is already hard at work on the sequel...
