15 Movies You Didn't Know Were Remakes

13. Delivery Man

The Remake: Vince Vaughn stars as a man whose many sperm donations as a student have led to him fathering hundreds of children, 142 of whom have filed a class-action suit for his identity to be revealed. It's typical Vaughn fare and doesn't really make the most of its delicious premise, but a bulky Chris Pratt steals the show as Vaughn's incompetent lawyer Brett. The Original: Ken Scott (who also directed the remake) helmed and co-wrote the original 2011 Canadian comedy film, Starbuck, which has almost exactly the same premise and what the 2013 film followed pretty much beat for beat. It feels much more heartfelt and hilarious, even if it's a lot more rough around the edges than the slick Hollywood remake. Which One Is Better?: Starbuck, no question. Vaughn just coasts his way through Delivery Man, but Patrick Huard is a much better fit in the original movie despite lacking star power.
