15 Movies You Won’t Believe Are 10 Years Old
14. Zodiac
It's pretty stunning to think that two full phases of MCU movies and a Civil War have happened since Robert Downey Jr played Paul Avery in David Fincher's ludicrously compelling Zodiac.
Fincher captures his 1960s and 70s historical moment so perfectly - from the production design to the colour filters - that it will forever feel like a living museum piece, and utterly timeless as a result. It also helps that Fincher's nerve-shredding story-telling methods - including that almost unbearable scene in Bob Vaughn's basement - make rewatching it a revelatory experience that loses very little with awareness of what happens.
That pretty much guarantees eternal freshness, which makes the film's actual age creep on you wholly unexpectedly.
