15 PERFECT Scenes In Otherwise Disappointing Movies

4. The Expendables: Bosnia Monologue

The Lost World Sarah
Lionsgate

The Expendables is, in a word, garbage. The second film was better for sure, but this one was nothing but explosions and action stars frowning, making it something even action movie fans might struggle to enjoy.

Weirdly enough though, the biggest WTF moment in this ridiculous film isn't an action scene; it's a thought-provoking, excellently-written monologue on the horrors and psychological effects of war performed by an understated yet brilliant Mickey Rourke. Yep, that actually happens.

It is out-of-place as all hell but in the best possible way and while most will be utterly bewildered at great acting being in a crap film like this, it's certainly impossible to complain.

All in all, one of the best scenes in a terrible movie ever.
