15 Perfect Superhero Casting Choices Wasted On Terrible Comic Book Movies

13. Michael B. Jordan As Johnny Storm - Fant4stic

Now, if X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a bad film, then director Josh Trank's Fant4stic can only be described as atrocious.

When fans think of the Fantastic Four, the first things that come to mind denote adventure, sci-fi, and colour. Fant4stic had none of that, dulling the inherent high-concept silliness of the original FF books with a grimy blue filter and a story that managed to actually be a downgrade on the one seen in 2005. It was that bad.

However, much like those earlier films, it wasn't completely irredeemable. Yes there were fewer redeeming features, but one thing the film got right was the character of Johnny Storm, who was portrayed brilliantly by Michael B. Jordan.

Jordan has since gone on to wow audiences with turns in the Rocky franchise and in Black Panther, but had Fant4stic actually delivered on a genuinely enjoyable story, he could've been this generation's Human Torch.
