7. American Pie 2

The Original: A group of high-schoolers try to get their rocks off by prom, with ridiculous hijinks ensuing. The Sequel: Though American Pie 2 is actually a relatively entertaining follow-up to the original, this is largely in spite of the fact that there's little reason for it to exist. While the third movie focused on marriage and the fourth on kids, the second feels like the absolutely least necessary of the bunch. While the boys all got laid in the first movie, the premise of the second movie is decidedly less ambitious: their goals are largely just to have a good time at a summer beach house, and in Jim's (Jason Biggs) case, prepare for sexy times with returning exchange student Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth). A number of ridiculous scenarios ensue, such as Jim super-gluing himself to, well, himself and a risky lesbian make-out session, but on the whole it's just a reprise of the same characters and embarrassing scenarios from the first film.
