2. Inside Out Will Be Pixar's Best-Reviewed Film Since Toy Story 3
We love Pixar, but we can't help but feel that they haven't really been contributing 110% lately, what with Cars 2, Brave and Monsters University ranging from bad-to-merely-good rather than the masterful standards we have come to expect, what with the trio of WALL-E, Up and Toy Story 3 being released consecutively. Inside Out, which takes place within the mind of an 11-year-old girl, is the most invigorating and intriguing concept of any Pixar movie in years, and if Up director Pete Docter can pull it off, we're going to have another Pixar classic to add to the collection. Though it's likely that the movie will draw a modest box-office gross at best due to its heady concept, Michael Arndt writing the script gives us plenty of hope that he'll repeat his success on Toy Story 3 (which ended up with him receiving a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination), and deliver something to restore our faith in the animation studio.
