15 Predictions For 2017 Movies That Everybody Got Wrong

1. A Major Character Dies - T2 Trainspotting

The Prediction: One of the four main characters, Renton, Spud, Sick Boy or Begbie, will surely end up dead by the time the credits roll, right?

The Reality: As wildly unlikely as it is that a quartet of former and current drug addicts would all be alive 20 years later, each of the main characters incredulously makes it to the movie with their hearts still beating, and even survives the crazy events that follow, albeit barely in some cases.

By the end of T2, Renton moves back in with his dad after almost being murdered by Begbie, Spud is rescued from a suicide attempt and becomes a writer, Sick Boy keeps up his scheming, and Begbie ends up back in jail.

As fun as it would be to catch up with these characters again in another 20 years, that'd be straining credibility well past breaking point, surely?
