7. The Dog Dies...Again - John Wick: Chapter Two

The Prediction: With Keanu Reeves' titular assassin finding himself a new canine companion at the end of the first movie, the sequel's going to pull a cheap repeat by having John Wick's new pitbull puppy catch a stray bullet, sending Wick on another ferocious, vengeance-filled rampage.

The Reality: Shame on anyone who was cynical enough to think John Wick: Chapter Two would be this lazy and unimaginative, because considering how ambitious the movie really was, it's a bit embarrassing to have even made this prediction.

Still, Chapter Two definitely could've been a dispassionate retread or even randomly killed the dog at the end of the movie, especially once John goes on the run, but thankfully it didn't happen.

Hopefully Wick will put the dog in a kennel the first chance he gets in Chapter Three, what with every assassin in the developed world now keen to take him down. One dead dog is enough for this franchise.
