6. Daniels Is Ripley's Mother - Alien: Covenant

The Prediction: Alien: Covenant's steely, Ripley-esque protagonist will in fact turn out to be Ripley's bada** mother.

The Reality: Though Ridley Scott promised fans that this wasn't true ahead of the film's release, it wasn't easy to believe him, yet this is one case where he was genuinely being honest (not so much with "the characters aren't dumb this time", though).

There's aren't even any ham-fisted Ripley references to speak of, and considering how poorly the movie fared at the box office, it doesn't seem likely that Daniels will return for the next Alien film either. She's almost certainly a one-and-done character, which considering her ambiguous fate at the end of the film is a bit of a shame.

Still, there's no way she's even tangentially related to Ripley, so that's nice.
