4. George Clooney Has A Cameo - Ocean's 8

The marketing for Ocean's 8 made mention of the fact that Debbie Ocean's (Sandra Bullock) brother, Danny (George Clooney), was dead, and most fans understandably expected this to pay off with a last-minute reveal that Danny was very much alive.

Oddly enough, Danny is absent from the entire movie, and though Debbie makes several playful hints that Danny might not be dead - to ensure the possibility of a future team-up movie, of course - Clooney nevertheless sits the whole film out.

Other franchise alums Matt Damon and Carl Reiner actually filmed cameos which were cut, with the only returning cast members ultimately being Elliott Gould and Qin Shaobo in cameo form.

Though the door is most certainly left open for Clooney to announce that reports of Danny Ocean's death have been wildly exaggerated, his expectedly crowd-pleasing revival never came this time.
