2015 has frequently been cited as one of the biggest and most exciting years in the history of cinema, and with so many franchises re-starting or continually chugging along, it's not too surprising. After all, who isn't excited by the new entries in the Jurassic Park, Avengers and Star Wars franchises? Even so, history dictates that it's best to err on the side of caution when anticipating a huge new movie release: as readily as a new film may astound you, it can just as easily be a colossal disappointment and throw away all its promise. As such, though these 15 movies certainly have the potential to be among the best movies of the year, it's healthy to go in with a slightly skeptical mind, such that you don't leave the cinema deflated and hugely dejected in case things don't totally work out in your favour. Perhaps a hugely-anticipated sequel just can't live up to what came before, audiences won't support a new movie, the trailer has ruined too much, or maybe expectations are so ridiculously high that the final product can't possibly live up to it.
