9. The Ultimate Cop Movie
As aforementioned; this film is one large homage to every police, detective, action movie pretty much ever made. It thrives off of the clichés of sub-par action movies; but as opposed to doing that accidentally and embarrassing themselves, their deliberate uses of these homages can easily give it credentials as the ultimate cop movie. Furthermore, its use of familiarity and standard plot turns in the police movie genre only makes the movie funnier through its constant subversion of your expectations. Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg followed the genre rule book to the letter, and then destroyed it like a police car driving through a model village.
