15 Rejected James Bond Themes You Didn't Know Existed

6. Eva Almér's "Quantum Of Solace"

https://youtu.be/zg2dXY9TOKA If the PR blurb is to be believed, Eva Almér's rejected theme for Quantum of Solace is:
"A classic James Bond-theme as eternal as Diamonds Are Forever and Licence To Kill"
David Arnold and director Marc Forster clearly didn't think so, canning it in favour of a collaboration between Jack White and Alicia Keys, the first duet in Bond history. For a while Shirley Bassey was rumoured to be returning for a fourth time thanks to a track called The Performance which she was working on with Arnold and Don Black for an album of the same name. This has been denied categorically as ever being rejected as the main theme, so there. When you factor in the now mythical Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson demo for Quantum of Solace it becomes even harder to treat Forever - I Am All Yours as a serious contender. It's a decent song though and if you close your eyes really tightly and maybe shove cotton wool in your ears you can hear shades of Dame Shirley coming through. The Swedish singer claims on Twitter she is working on a follow up song but where's the rush?
