Since 2015, we've known to expect a remake of this Heathers-meets-Hocus-Pocus classic and it seems like the wheels are finally in motion. Blumhouse and Columbia Pictures have now hired Zoe Lister-Jones - best known for working on New Girl - to write and direct and reports suggest it's going to be a conteporary take on the story.

We can probably expect the same story set-up as the original, as the announcement included mention of four main characters - Hannah, Tabby, Lourdes and Frankie - which is good news, but let's just hope that their vision is different enough to justify the remake. If the redo of Sabrina is anything to go by, there's definitely a ready-made audience for it.
