15 Simple Fixes That Would Have Made Jurassic World Awesome
2. Don't Anthropomorphise The Raptors
One of the more outlandish aspects of Jurassic World is Owen's seeming ability to communicate with the pack of Raptors he trains, leading to one particularly outrageous moment after the movie's finale, in which he seems to share a longing glance of recognition with the creature, as each seemingly acknowledges the other. It was about three seconds away from the two bro-nodding at one another, and while hilarious, ultimately diluted the savagery that made the Raptors such fierce enemies in the earlier movies. Here it veers achingly close to self-parody, and though amusing, isn't particularly convincing in terms of a serious, smart Jurassic Park film (which this one really isn't).
