W. Morgan Sheppard had the kind of varied acting career most performers could only dream of, with close to 200 credits to his name spanning almost 60 years, appearing in the diverse likes of The Elephant Man, Transformers, and...It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Sheppard appeared in four roles across four different iterations of Star Trek, as Dr. Ira Graves in The Next Generation, a Klingon Commandant in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Qatai in Voyager, and finally, as a Vulcan Science Minister in J.J. Abrams' 2009 Star Trek reboot (above).

Sheppard's reliable ability to bring instant gravitas to even the smallest role made him a heavily in-demand character actor and vocal performer throughout his career, before passing away on January 6 of last year at the age of 86.

His son, Mark Sheppard, also had a small role in an episode of Voyager as the character Leucon.
