2. The Eyes Have It
Admit it, you expected this to be number one on the list. One of the most famous mistakes in the entire Harry Potter series comes courtesy of Severus Snape's memory of Lily Potter. Snape adored Lily and devoted his life to secretly protecting her son after her untimely death at the hands of Lord Voldemort.
With this in mind, it's safe to say that he would remember every detail about the woman he loved from afar and seeing Harry Potter on a near daily basis would surely mean that he would remember, very clearly, that Harry's eyes are identical to his mother's - Dumbledore even declares that Harry has his mother's eyes in Snape's memory as a reason for Snape to do as the headmaster asked.
So who forgot that Lily and Harry have the same eyes? Yet again, the casting team dropped a clanger and cast Ellie May Darcey-Alden as the young Lily Potter in the Deathly Hallows part 2... the same Ellie May Darcey-Alden who has the most obviously hazel eyes anyone has ever seen.
What colour eyes does Daniel Radcliffe have? Blue. What colour eyes does Geraldine Somerville (adult Lily actress) have? Blue. Even Susie Shinner who briefly plays the teenage Lily has Blue eyes... Three correct casting decisions and one that is easily one of the biggest mistakes in the series.
