15 Stupid Star Wars Movie Mistakes You Probably Missed

There are a lot of problems with the character of Rey from the Disney Trilogy, and they only get worse the further into the trilogy you go.

Despite her humble upbringings gathering and selling junk on the planet Jakku while hoping her parents will return for her, she is unnaturally good at everything she does and is able to overcome whatever obstacles the universe seems to throw at her. From learning new force powers, to beating everyone she fights with a lightsaber, she just picks up new skills and abilities with very little effort or struggle.

But there was one moment in The Last Jedi that may not have stood out as bluntly as other mistakes in the film, but still has to be addressed.

On Ahch-To, Rey is called towards the dark side by a mysterious cave, where she falls into a pool of water. You would expect someone who grew up on a desert planet with no parents would not know how to swim. Nevertheless, Rey is able to swim to shore with no problems. It’s another tiny flaw that further cements what little thought was put into the story of The Last Jedi.
