14 Summer 2016 Films You Aren't Excited About (But Should Be)

6. Nine Lives

Nine Lives Kevin Spacey
EuropaCorp
Release Date: August 5th (UK and US)

An always-absent businessman father gets a lesson in being there for his wife and children when he's mystically transformed into a cat? I know, it sounds like the worst Eddie Murphy movie you'd ever want desperately not to have to take the kids to see. However, this particular film has Kevin Spacey in the lead, with director Barry Sonnefeld (Addams Family, Men In Black, Get Shorty) calling the shots, which is immediately an intriguing proposition.

The supporting cast is impressive too, with Jennifer Garner as Spacey's neglected wife, and Christopher Walken as the mysterious (or, at least, very strange) cat shop owner responsible for his feline makeover. We don't see the two-time Oscar winner Spacey in too many family films, so we can but hope this one is a cut above the norm.

Ben Bussey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
