14 Summer 2016 Films You Aren't Excited About (But Should Be)

5. Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates

Release Date: August 12th (UK), July 8th (US)

Looks like we're in for more racous, alcohol-fuelled comedy with this one. Zac Efron (who's well and truly put his High School Musical days behind him and cemented himself as a twentysomething comedy stalwart) co-stars with Pitch Perfect's Adam Devine as two brothers from a well-to-do family who, as the title suggests, are in need of female accompaniment for their sister's lavish wedding in Hawaii. However, the ladies they wind up with - Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza - turn out to be flaky party animals who are just using them for a free vacation.

Based on the trailers, it seems we can expect a fair amount of sun, sea, sand, sex, swearing and stoner gags. Whether it'll prove to be anything we haven't seen before remains to be seen, but with such a talented cast, it's reasonable to expect something good.

Ben Bussey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
