15 Things Horror Remakes Did Better Than The Original

3. Let Me In - The Romance

Nightmare On Elm Street Remake
Paramount Pictures

From one 2010s horror remake starring Chloe Grace Moretz to another, this remake of the Swedish vampire classic Let the Right One In is actually really, really good, although there are a few things in it that don't work and it's a little too faithful to the original film.

Let the Right One In is better since it's more complex and ambiguous, but Let Me In comes surprisingly close and it does offer a better love story in many ways, since there's more warmth and emotion between the characters. The original film offers a better exploration of thought-provoking themes and is scarier, but Let Me In has the better romance.

It's actually well worth seeing both the original and remake since not only are both of them really good, but you can appreciate them in different ways too.
